Oxshott's Best Pub and Restaurant

We’re at the heart of Oxshott village, a quintessentially English pub nestled in the stunning Surrey Hills. Our General Manager Ryan focuses on premium service and a warm atmosphere to welcome our community. We’re family and dog-friendly with a traditional bar area, beautiful terrace and outdoor decking.

Our kitchen team serve the very best of fresh, seasonal British dishes packed with flavour and are passionate about championing British farmers. You’ll also find real ales and craft beer on the bar, extensive wine list and the best cocktail menu in Surrey.

As the seasons change, so do our menus. Our countryside retreat is the perfect spot for autumnal pub needs. Resting your feet near the fire, soaking up the atmosphere of our beautiful restaurant or enjoying a light lunch in the bar, we have it all.

New Year's Eve

Cosy up in a corner of your favourite pub and ring in 2025. We’ll have the bubbles by the bucketload, dishes from our winter-warming menu all whilst the fireplace crackles and radiates an intimate atmosphere. We’ll have some exclusive seafood specials on the menu for the celebration.

Two Courses for £18

Our January Set Menu is a celebration of mid-winter seasonality, showcasing some of our favourite winter produce from across the UK. Featuring West Country Beef, Bedlam Farm Heritage squash, Lincolnshire Brussel Tops and South Coast mussels (to name a few!) it’s available on weekdays until 31st Jan. With two courses for £18 or three courses for £22 (go on… treat yourself to a pud) you shouldn’t need further excuse to get yourself to the pub.

We Love Your Feedback

We honestly only came for a quick drink after work, and ended up staying for Dinner! Mostly because the atmosphere was so welcoming and the service from was so friendly and professional. Drinks not too unreasonably priced for the area, and the food is great. Menu has all the usual suspects done very well, and some finer numbers to (confit duck leg tempting but I went for the burger which was stacked and filling as well as tasty. My Partner had Fish n Chips which looked and tasted the part perfectly) all in all a thoroughly nice evening.

We chose The Bear, Oxshott for its cosy ambiance and it didn't disappoint. The wood fire was blazing and the warmth of the welcome and service we received was a good match. Nothing was too much trouble and the food and coffee were absolutely delicious. Every one of my group commented on how lovely this venue is and how they hope to return soon. I felt very proud to have been the one to book it. Thank you, The Bear. We'll be back.
